We actively encourage top practitioners to remain in frontline roles and recognize their dedication and skills. The Principal Social Worker position is one of two Advanced Practitioner roles in Cornwall, aligned with the Professional Capabilities Framework and the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Practice Supervisors. Principal Social Workers engage directly in practice, manage a limited caseload, supervise fellow practitioners, facilitate team learning, and act in place of the Team Manager.

The Role:

We have exciting full-time opportunities for Principal Social Workers available throughout the County.

This is a public-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector employees applies.

This position will require an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

What you'll need to succeed:

The Principal Social Worker role necessitates extensive experience in evidence-based practices with children and families, along with significant expertise in this area. Consequently, the salary scale for our Advanced Practitioners is equivalent to that of our Team Managers.
