Support Assistant and Work Experience Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant and Work Experience Lead to join our team at Heath Farm College. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and personal development of our students, enabling them to make the most of the educational and adulthood opportunities available to them.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in promoting the learning and personal development of students, ensuring they make the best use of educational and adulthood opportunities.
- Lead on the development, embedding, and monitoring of a Work Experience (WEX) model to secure students in weekly placements.
- Model the College Values of Love, Commitment, and Opportunity.
The role of Work Experience Lead involves developing, implementing, and coordinating work experience for students aged with complex needs. You will be responsible for finding safe and suitable work placements to meet individual student career aspirations, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with work placement providers, and supporting students to access and maintain their placements.
This will involve liaising with families and other professionals to ensure student needs are fully met. As students progress from Heath Farm College into employment, education, training, or volunteering, you will collect progression evidence and update college records.
