Role Overview

The Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust is looking for a dedicated Psychological Support Assistant to provide vital assessment and therapeutic services to individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges within the community. This role emphasizes collaboration with service users, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective home-based interventions as an alternative to inpatient care.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and deliver tailored support services
  • Engage with the Home Treatment and Rapid Response teams to provide intensive care and assistance to patients and their families, grounded in evidence-based and recovery-focused methodologies
  • Coordinate with the Rapid Response team for urgent assessments and service gatekeeping
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures, including the Care Programme Approach
