Position Overview

As a key member of the Economic Research Team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., a leading global financial services institution, you will play a vital role in supporting Senior Economists. Your responsibilities will encompass data collection, macroeconomic modeling, and statistical analysis, contributing to insightful presentations and comprehensive reports tailored for a diverse clientele. This position offers a unique opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and significantly influence the bank's economic research and analytical efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of various economies under the guidance of Senior Economists.
  • Engage in economic modeling and statistical evaluations, applying sound economic principles.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance country and regional databases with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the creation of written publications and presentations regarding economic conditions.
  • Monitor global data releases and relevant market developments.
  • Compile literature and report reviews to support research initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external data requests or projects related to the countries of focus.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Master's degree in economics or a related field.
  • Some prior experience in economic analysis.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills, with a focus on development or international economics being advantageous.
  • Proficient in economic principles and statistics/econometrics.
  • Exceptional spreadsheet management abilities.
  • Capability to distill, synthesize, and present complex information effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently during supervisor travel periods.
  • Collaborative mindset suited for an international work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Research experience focused on emerging market economies is highly desirable.
  • Experience within the official creditor sector or in developing country government roles is a significant advantage.
