As a pivotal member of the Economic Research Team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., a premier global financial institution, you will engage in comprehensive data analysis and economic modeling. Your contributions will support Senior Economists in delivering valuable insights and reports to a diverse clientele. This role presents a unique opportunity to influence the bank's economic research and analytical capabilities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessments of various economies under the guidance of Senior Economists.
- Implement economic modeling and statistical analysis with a strong foundation in economic principles.
- Develop, maintain, and refine country and regional databases with meticulous attention to detail.
- Assist in the creation of written publications and presentations focused on economic trends.
- Monitor global data releases and significant market developments.
- Compile literature reviews and report summaries.
- Support additional internal and external data requests or projects related to the covered regions.
- Master's degree in Economics or a related field.
- Some prior experience in economic analysis.
- Alternative qualifications in development or international economics with a robust analytical/statistical focus.
- Strong understanding of economic theories and statistical methods.
- Proficient in spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to distill complex information and present it clearly.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Capacity to work independently during supervisor absences.
- Team-oriented mindset suitable for an international setting.
- Research experience focused on emerging market economies is highly desirable.
- Experience within the official creditor sector or government of developing nations is advantageous.
