About the Role

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Economic Analyst to join its consulting directorate. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality economic analysis and consultancy projects to clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake robust and rigorous economic analysis in the delivery of consultancy projects, including the application of econometric modelling techniques.
  • Manage the delivery of consulting projects, including leading communication with clients and coordinating internal resources to ensure timely execution.
  • Lead and oversee the production of reporting assets for clients, including project reports and presentations.
  • Support and develop research proposals, project reports, and presentations.
  • Take the initiative in suggesting ways to strengthen the quality of analysis and contribute to the development of the team's expertise.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in economics or a mixed degree that includes economics, statistics, or mathematics.
  • A strong understanding of economic theory and the ability to apply it to answer applied research questions.
  • Experience of the analysis of economic policy, particularly assessing the economic implications of tax reform.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of advanced functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain economic concepts and quantitative analysis to non-specialists.
  • A track record of managing large-scale consulting projects.
  • An advanced degree in statistics, mathematics, applied econometrics, applied economics, business economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience of working in research projects involving the application of econometric modelling techniques.
