About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to paediatric patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver advanced musculoskeletal assessment, management, and treatment of paediatric outpatients, including those with complex conditions.
  • Develop and deliver individualized specialist treatment programs.
  • Provide day-to-day management, leadership, and coaching to Paediatric Physiotherapy colleagues within the outpatient and inpatient paediatric physiotherapy team.
  • Lead training and development of staff working within the Musculoskeletal paediatric conditions.
  • Supervise, initiate, and participate in regular evidence-based audit and research projects to further clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Good standard of general education, including English language and mathematics, A levels or equivalent.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered with HCPC as a Physiotherapist.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate training in specialist area.
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in specialist areas relevant to the post.
  • Experience of NHS-based work.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including recent courses relevant to Musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of IT skills.
  • A range of suitable experience of working within a Primary Care setting and/or acute Musculoskeletal outpatient paediatric setting.
  • Ability to use Musculoskeletal clinical skills to systematically diagnose/assess patient/client problem.
  • Experience of paediatric Musculoskeletal physiotherapy with management of complex patients.
  • Experience of effective staff management and leadership.
  • Experience of managing students at clinical tutor and supervisor levels.
  • Experience of training staff groups at all levels.
