Consultant in Obstetric Medicine

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a major university teaching hospital, providing high-quality care to patients and contributing to the development of our fertility service.
- Drive forward the further development and aspirations of the fertility service, including reproductive surgery.
- Provide general and specialist gynaecology clinics.
- Participate in the provision of emergency gynaecological services to the local population.
- Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education and supervision.
- Support and engage with ongoing research themes and projects.
- Participate in continuing medical education to maintain annual consultant appraisal.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Subspecialist in reproductive medicine.
- MD/PhD or equivalent.
- Accreditation in reproductive medicine and general obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Experience in conducting reproductive medicine operating lists independently.
- Experience in delivering out-patient ambulatory and emergency gynaecology services.
- Experience in delivering formal undergraduate and/or postgraduate education.
- Competence in spoken and written English.
- Advanced understanding of Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement.
