Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain an effective IT Database function that supports the needs of the group's activities.
- Provide effective access to corporate data and maintain the security and integrity of data items and their control environment.
- Deliver guidance, support, and system solutions to enable continued operation and growth of the business.
- Responsible for installation, upgrading, monitoring, and tuning of database software (SQL Server).
- Controlling backups and recovery of databases and associated software.
- Monitoring the integrity and security of corporate databases and escalating/reporting any issues or security breaches as appropriate.
- Implement and monitor the group's access control policy in line with legal and company requirements.
- Advise on selection/acquisition of Database Software and establish and manage database standards.
- Experience in Microsoft environments.
- Database design and optimization.
- SQL Server database operating experience.
- Manage, configure, and optimize Database environment.
- Microsoft certification or equivalent in Database administration.
