About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stakeholder Engagement Lead to join our team at Allen & York. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading stakeholder engagement programs that drive environmental improvements and investment in water resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day stakeholder engagement programs to deliver Environmental Destination investigations, promoting multi-sector involvement and buy-in to collaborative solutions.
  • Build trust between stakeholders to support shared decision-making and prioritization of environmental improvements and investment within catchments.
  • Develop and implement engagement programs that lead to shared decision-making and prioritization of environmental improvements and investment within catchments.
  • Bridge the gap between technical work and collaborative decision-making, working with technical and program management teams to develop a good understanding of technical concepts and goals.
Key Relationships
  • Act as the lead point of contact with agricultural sector representatives, including the National Farmers Union, Country Land Business Association, Water for Food Group, and Water Abstractor Groups.
  • Support the Water for Food Group in developing a Water Abstractor Group toolkit, outlining how groups can work together to understand their water needs and find solutions to changing water availability.
  • Support Local Resource Option screening studies, taking a lead role in stakeholder mapping and engagement.
  • Run the Agriculture Forum, developing a framework for integrating agriculture into regional planning approaches.
  • Support the team in the day-to-day running of the virtual office, contributing to all aspects of the team's activities.
