About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stakeholder Lead to join our team at Water Resources East. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a critical role in planning and delivering a programme of stakeholder engagement to support the development of a Regional Water Resources Plan for Eastern England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a stakeholder engagement programme that promotes multi-sector involvement and collaboration to address common challenges.
  • Build trust and relationships with stakeholders across different sectors, including regulators, water companies, farming, energy, and environmental groups.
  • Develop and implement an engagement strategy that leads to shared decision-making and prioritization of environmental improvements and investment within catchments.
  • Act as a key point of contact with agricultural sector representatives and support the development of a Water Abstractor Group (WAG) toolkit.
  • Support Local Resource Option (LRO) screening studies and run WRE's Agriculture Forum to develop a framework for integrating agriculture into WRE's regional planning approach.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of water resources management and environmental planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with stakeholders across different sectors.
