About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of our hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for complex hardware, software, and networking issues, including Windows, Office 365, Azure Administration, Entra ID, and other enterprise-level technologies.
  2. System Administration: Administer system configurations, security settings, and user accounts, including the ERP system and other SaaS applications.
  3. Project Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of IT projects, including migrations and upgrades.
  4. Cybersecurity: Maintain established principles of cybersecurity and contribute to continuous improvements, working with the IT Support/Cybersecurity Manager to keep the environment secure.
  5. Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality documentation for process control and evidence generation to support internal and external audits.
  6. User Education: Educate users on best practices and improved ways of working.
  7. Collaboration: Collaborate with third-party support partners to resolve incidents.
Key Performance Objectives
  • Technical Guidance: Provide coherent, high-quality advice and technical guidance to business teams.
  • Service Reliability: Ensure reliable service and strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and timely updates.
  • Record Keeping: Record all actions in the ticketing system.
  • Solution Documentation: Document all solutions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in a relevant IT discipline.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in Microsoft products, including Entra AD, Azure, SharePoint Online, and M365.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in an IT support team.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications

The following qualifications are desirable but not essential:

  • Azure and Cybersecurity: Knowledge of Azure and cybersecurity.
  • Data Backup and Security: Familiarity with data backup, ODBC, SQL DB, MS Defender stack.
  • PowerShell and SharePoint: Experience with PowerShell and SharePoint Online.
  • IT and Cybersecurity Standards: Understanding of IT and cybersecurity standards such as ITIL, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, or experience in regulated environments.
