About The Heron Medical Practice
The Heron Medical Practice is a leading healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ophthalmology Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Ophthalmology services.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor patient call and recall systems to ensure timely communication and appointment scheduling.
- Book appointments for all services, ensuring seamless coordination with our clinical teams.
- Liaise with patients, hospitals, clinicians, and opticians to provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Extract required data from correspondence and input patient information into electronic healthcare records.
- Assist with maintaining stock levels, unpacking deliveries, and performing administrative tasks as required.
- Provide administrative support to our clinical teams, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above) Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), strong IT skills, and a clear, polite telephone manner.
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook, with effective time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously, with good interpersonal skills and a commitment to following policy and procedure.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working for a healthcare provider or in a similar administrative role.
- Experience working with the general public and providing exceptional customer service.
