Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmology Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical services, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient administrative processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Monitor patient call and recall systems to ensure timely communication and appointment scheduling.
- Book appointments for all services, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Liaise with patients, hospitals, clinicians, and opticians to provide excellent customer service and support.
- Manage patient medical queries, signposting as necessary, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with stock management, unpacking deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Extract relevant data from correspondence and input it into patient electronic healthcare records.
- Filing and scanning documents, ensuring secure and efficient storage.
Requirements
- GCSE Mathematics and English (C or above) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office and Outlook.
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously, with good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential.
