Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time permanent Clinical Team Supervisor to join our dedicated team within the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Step 2 and Step 3 practitioners, ensuring adherence to the principles outlined in the NHS Talking Therapies framework.
  • Provide comprehensive line management support to both trainee and qualified clinicians within the service.
  • Oversee the achievement of service and individual performance objectives, addressing any issues of underperformance collaboratively.
  • While a clinical caseload is not mandatory, a minimal caseload may be negotiated to maintain professional registration requirements.
  • Engage with staff, service users, and caregivers from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a commitment to culturally sensitive practices and equal opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Postgraduate diploma or equivalent in Counselling or a qualification from a High Intensity NHS Talking Therapies course.
  • Accreditation with recognized professional bodies.
  • Supervision training approved for High Intensity workers or equivalent experience.
  • Qualification from a PWP NHS Talking Therapies Training Course.
  • Registered Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
  • Supervision training approved for Low Intensity workers or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

  • Leadership training and qualifications.

Skills Required

Essential:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with team members.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies program and its objectives.
  • Understanding of the commissioning process and the importance of meeting targets.

Desirable:

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments in the workplace.
