Role Responsibilities:

As the Lead Business Strategist, you will play a crucial role within the Private Office of the National Director of Transformation, offering vital support in the operational execution of the Directorate's initiatives.

The Directorate is responsible for a diverse array of innovation, technology, digital, and data-driven projects for the NHS, including prominent Ministerial objectives such as the Federated Data Platform and the NHS App.

  • The NHS Transformation Directorate is dedicated to assisting all segments of the health and care system in implementing innovative solutions and developing national products and platforms that enhance patient and staff experiences across England.
  • You will aid the national director in achieving successful outcomes through a variety of tasks that will vary daily, including managing routine business operations and overseeing essential logistical functions of the office.
  • This position requires regular interaction with the private offices of senior government officials, making strong stakeholder management skills essential for effective performance in this role.

Employees with a designated office location are expected to work in-person for a minimum of 40% of their time.

  • Coordination of internal and external briefings, speaking engagements, events, and information requests.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior leaders and their private offices.
  • Oversight of the national director's logistical arrangements, including scheduling and travel plans.
  • Production of high-quality briefings for the national director, such as written summaries of NHS Board and Executive papers prior to meetings.
  • Management of all business processes and reporting for the national director, including Oracle, ESR, and Atamis.
