Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Product Strategist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a seasoned expert in product management methodologies and tools, capable of supporting and mentoring others. You will collaborate closely with senior product managers at Methods and other stakeholders.

Your contributions will be vital in cultivating an environment that encourages knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every team member's voice is valued.

Additionally, you will be responsible for enhancing your own skills and sharing insights with your team, fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace culture.

Methods is recognized for its exceptional delivery and innovation in a competitive landscape. As a Lead Product Strategist, you will represent Methods in client engagements, advocating for our product management philosophy and enhancing the Methods brand, thereby driving the growth and success of our consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Defining a vision and strategy for multiple products or a particularly complex, high-risk product, potentially spanning across programs or portfolios.
  • Formulating a product strategy and creating relevant artifacts to effectively communicate plans and secure stakeholder support.
  • Designing digital services that prioritize user benefits and championing user needs by translating these into a coherent product strategy.
  • Utilizing your understanding of user requirements and business objectives to frame challenges and establish priorities for your delivery teams.
  • Guiding services through various lifecycle stages in accordance with established standards and principles, including leading teams through service evaluations.
  • Actively engaging in the Product Community of Practice.
  • Conducting people management activities, including contributing to performance assessments and ensuring team members receive the necessary support to excel.
  • Mentoring product managers within the community to facilitate their personal and professional growth.
  • Assisting in the recruitment of Product Managers.
  • Staying informed about trends and changes in the product management field.
  • Identifying and promoting opportunities to showcase our product management expertise to existing and prospective clients.

In addition to these responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties as reasonably requested.

  • Advocate for the significance of accessibility and recognize its importance in digital projects within the public sector.
  • Bring experience in applying product management principles in the public sector, particularly in alignment with established service standards.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex and technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Adopt a problem-focused approach to work, understanding how it fits into the broader context.
  • Have experience in mentoring others to cultivate a successful product culture and mindset.

This role may require you to obtain or be willing to undergo Security Clearance.
