We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of medical professionals in the delivery of mental health services to older adults.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Older Peoples Services team. You will be working in a newly designed community post, which has been created to reflect our aim to work towards new ways of working covering CMHT, Memory Assessment Service, Care Home Service, and the Intensive Home Treatment team.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, including clinical supervision to the medical team working within the service and clinical supervision to the wider MDT when required. You will also have designated training responsibilities for junior doctors and engage within the trusts Clinical Governance structure.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of medical professionals in the delivery of mental health services to older adults
- Providing clinical leadership, including clinical supervision to the medical team working within the service and clinical supervision to the wider MDT when required
- Designated training responsibilities for junior doctors and engagement within the trusts Clinical Governance structure
- CCT in Old Age psychiatry, or gaining this within 3 months
- Experience working within a range of older people's community services
- Evidence of excellent communication skills and experience working within an MDT

This is a 10 PA post plus a 1% category B availability for out of hours on-call duties.
