Location: Flexible

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Salary: £24,255

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Acorn Insurance & Financial Services LTD. As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed bordereaux of payments to all suppliers
  • Assist in processing online electronic banking
  • Set up and maintain installment plans
  • Produce cheques
  • Post and allocate receipts
  • Provide help in recovery process & banking cheques
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Maintain Excel spreadsheet recording all debt recovery activity
  • Cancelling cheques
  • First point of contact for all payment queries
  • Identify and analyze payment errors
  • Support the Claims function with any ad hoc responsibilities and projects as required

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish effective working relationships
  • Attention to detail with high level of numeracy and literary competence
  • Demonstrated experience in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with working to strict deadlines within a professional environment
  • Eagerness to work within a fast-paced environment
  • A critical thinker that will think outside the box on day-to-day tasks
  • Willingness to show that you are self-sufficient within a working environment
