HR Operations Manager

MacGregor Black is seeking a HR Operations Manager for a permanent position within a prominent FMCG organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding exceptional talent that drives organizational growth. Create strategies focused on talent retention, employee satisfaction, and succession planning.
  • Promote a constructive workplace culture by addressing employee issues, mediating conflicts, and ensuring adherence to labor regulations. Act as the primary resource for employee inquiries, fostering open dialogue and a supportive work environment.
  • Implement and manage performance evaluation systems, including establishing KPIs, conducting regular assessments, and providing constructive feedback to staff. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and promote continuous improvement.
  • Design and facilitate training initiatives to enhance employee competencies and support career advancement. Assess training requirements across various departments and partner with management to deliver effective training solutions.
  • Guarantee that HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory standards. Regularly update and communicate policies, offering guidance on employment legislation and best practices.
  • Manage the administration of compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market research to maintain competitive salary structures and oversee employee benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional perks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Health & Safety team to ensure a secure work environment for all personnel. Advocate for safety awareness, conduct regular inspections, and implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards.
  • Develop and monitor key HR metrics to evaluate the success of HR initiatives and programs. Provide regular updates to senior management regarding HR activities, workforce trends, and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar industrial sector. A thorough understanding of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the capacity to influence and motivate others. Experience in team management and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities. Capable of addressing complex employee relations matters and making informed choices in a fast-paced setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels. Proficient presentation and training delivery skills are advantageous.
  • Adaptability to evolving business demands and industry trends. Comfortable in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is highly preferred.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships and navigate sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to HR, with the capability to foresee challenges and implement creative solutions.
