Human Resources Manager

Can you devise and implement a strategic HR framework that supports multiple leaders and stakeholders effectively?

MacGregor Black is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a prominent FMCG organization. This is a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding exceptional talent to foster organizational growth. Develop strategies focused on talent retention, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Promote a constructive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and ensuring adherence to labor regulations. Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries, fostering open communication and a supportive work environment.
  • Implement and manage performance evaluation systems, including establishing KPIs, conducting regular assessments, and providing coaching and feedback to staff. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and drive ongoing enhancements.
  • Design and facilitate training initiatives to improve employee competencies and support career advancement. Identify training requirements across various departments and collaborate with management to deploy effective training solutions.
  • Ensure that the organization's HR policies and practices comply with legal and regulatory standards. Regularly update and communicate policies, offering guidance on employment law and best practices.
  • Manage the administration of compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market analyses to maintain competitive salary structures and oversee employee benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional perks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Health & Safety team to maintain a secure working environment for all employees. Advocate for safety awareness, conduct regular audits, and implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards.
  • Develop and monitor key HR metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs. Provide regular updates to senior management regarding HR activities, workforce trends, and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar industrial sector. A solid understanding of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to influence and motivate others. Experience in team management and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Capable of addressing complex employee relations matters and making informed choices in a fast-paced setting.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to engage effectively with all organizational levels. Proficient presentation and training delivery skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements and industry trends. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is highly regarded.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the capability to build strong relationships and navigate sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to HR, with the ability to foresee challenges and implement creative solutions.
