MacGregor Black is collaborating with an FMCG organization to identify a Human Resources Manager. This is a permanent opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding exceptional talent to drive organizational growth. Develop initiatives for talent retention, employee engagement, and succession planning.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns, mediating conflicts, and ensuring adherence to labor regulations. Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries, fostering open communication and a supportive environment.
- Implement and manage performance evaluation systems, including establishing KPIs, conducting regular assessments, and providing coaching and constructive feedback. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and promote continuous improvement.
- Design and facilitate training programs to enhance employee competencies and support career advancement. Identify training needs across various departments and collaborate with management to deliver effective training solutions.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards in HR policies and practices. Regularly update and communicate policies, providing guidance on employment law and best practices.
- Manage the administration of compensation and benefits programs. Conduct market research to maintain competitive salary structures and oversee employee benefits packages, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to maintain a secure working environment for all employees. Advocate for safety awareness, conduct regular audits, and implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards.
- Develop and monitor key HR metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs. Provide regular updates to senior management on HR activities, workforce trends, and opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Manager, ideally within a food manufacturing or comparable industrial setting. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and industry-specific regulations.
- Proven leadership and management capabilities, with the ability to influence and motivate others. Experience in team management and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities. Capable of addressing complex employee relations matters and making informed choices in a fast-paced setting.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all organizational levels. Proficient presentation and training delivery skills are advantageous.
- Adaptability to evolving business needs and industry trends. Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift rapidly.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is highly desirable.
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to cultivate strong relationships and navigate sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- A proactive and innovative approach to HR, with the capability to foresee challenges and implement effective solutions.
Compensation up to £55k plus benefits.
