Company Overview: Antony James Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the financial operations of a dynamic insurance organization.

Position Summary: The Head of Financial Operations will be responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of the financial functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial management and control processes, ensuring adherence to professional accounting standards.
  • Facilitate the collaboration between the finance team and external auditors for the preparation of the Annual Report and Financial Statements.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced actuarial service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Ensure the production of accurate data for the valuation of the company's assets and liabilities, monitoring solvency trends effectively.
  • Deliver timely and relevant financial management information to the Board, including insights into the company's solvency position.
  • Enhance information flow within the Board and its committees, as well as between senior management and non-executive directors.
  • Support the induction and professional development of Board members as required.
  • Fulfill the legal obligations of a Company Secretary as outlined by relevant legislation.
  • Oversee the compliance framework and monitoring programs within the organization.

Financial Management Duties:

  • Ensure robust financial accounting and control measures are in place.
  • Provide data necessary for valuation and annual audit processes.
  • Maintain banking relationships and ensure effective financial reporting to the parent organization.
  • Exercise prudent control over the investment of financial assets.
  • Manage the operational relationship with actuarial firms to ensure value delivery.
  • Produce accurate and timely financial data for Board consideration.
  • Lead the ORSA and SFCR delivery process, focusing on forward-looking financial and solvency projections.
  • Prepare and distribute all financial schedules for Board meetings.
  • Report on financial matters at Board meetings and other topics as directed by senior management.
  • Safeguard all company and statutory legal documentation.

Qualifications: Candidates should hold a recognized financial accounting qualification.
