About the Role
ADM Agriculture is seeking a skilled Farm Trader to join our team. As a Farm Trader, you will be responsible for purchasing combinable crops and selling quality seed and fertilizer products to farmers. You will also promote ADM Agriculture's technical services and manage existing accounts while building relationships with new customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase grain, oilseeds, and pulses from farmer customers and negotiate contracts within the terms and price range given by ADM Traders.
- Sell seed and fertilizer products to existing and new accounts, promoting ADM Agriculture's quality technical services.
- Actively promote campaigns in liaison with the Retail department and follow up on business enquiries to provide outstanding customer service.
- Utilize company information and promote technical services to farmers, managing workload effectively to maximize account and business potential.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of combinable crops, OSR, pulses, and their uses/markets.
- Knowledge of AIC and FOSFA grain contracts, seed varieties, and dressings, as well as fertiliser types and their uses.
- Arable farming understanding, building relationships, and experience in using Microsoft IT software.
- Demonstrates good commercial awareness, ability to engage and influence others, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
