POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are in search of a knowledgeable and committed Compliance Manager to leverage extensive legislative expertise within our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure that our vehicles adhere to all relevant regulatory standards, collaborating closely with governmental bodies and internal departments to certify and uphold our product quality. This position provides the chance to lead a specialized team in guaranteeing that our vehicles achieve the utmost safety and compliance benchmarks. You will thrive in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere, playing a vital role in the advancement and innovation of our offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee compliance processes for designated platforms and regions, ensuring certification, maintenance, and production conformity.
  • Analyze legislative requirements and provide comprehensive impact assessments, guidance, and interpretations.
  • Gather and submit compliance documentation for international markets.
  • Assess production conformity safeguards and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Participate in tender evaluations, specification assessments, and design compliance reviews.
  • Enhance the knowledge and skills of the Compliance team through training and mentorship.
  • Engage with Type Approval authorities and represent the company in legislative discussions.
  • Manage assigned projects, including coordination of internal staff and external resources, along with time and cost evaluations.
  • Collect data for documentation through collaboration with Engineering and relevant systems.
  • Stay informed on legislative updates and compliance strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Preferred degree in an Engineering discipline; however, relevant experience in an Engineering or Legislative field with HNC or equivalent will be considered.
  • Solid understanding of UK, European, and/or Federal compliance procedures.
  • Essential experience with the Type Approval process.
  • Desirable experience working closely with Type Approval Authorities.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Capacity to assimilate new and complex information effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to convey interpretations of regulations to various audiences (both written and verbal).
  • Good knowledge of vehicle body and chassis systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle compliance.
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft 365 essential).
  • Valid UK driving license required.
  • Valid Passport preferred.
  • Willingness to travel, as some compliance activities may necessitate overnight stays both domestically and internationally, with potential for extended travel or secondment.
