Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counsellor to join our team at the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine. As a key member of our clinical services, you will provide high-quality genetic counselling and testing for a wide range of conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide genetic counselling and testing for patients with various conditions, with supervision and training as needed.
- Participate in our urgency rota to provide genetic counselling in demanding situations, such as pregnancy, NICU, PICU, and urgent cancer referrals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our clinical services, working collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Person Specification- Professional qualification in genetic counselling or a related field.
- Eligibility to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or the General Council of the Registration of Allied Health Professionals (GCRAB).
- Experience in genetic counselling, case management, and teaching/education (desirable).
