Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and people-oriented Senior Operations Manager to lead our vibrant team at the Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel.

About Us

The Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel is a stunning 19th-century manor house, set amidst 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Our hotel features a state-of-the-art health club and 100 elegantly refurbished guest rooms.

With its historic charm, our venue is a popular choice for weddings and special events, providing exceptional accommodation and top-notch food and beverage services to countless guests each year.

Key Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you will be a champion for our team, focusing on empowering and motivating staff to achieve their objectives and deliver outstanding customer service across all hotel operations, including various functions and events throughout the year.

Your attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will be responsible for creating and implementing standard operating procedures across all departments, ensuring effective performance management at all levels.

As a hands-on operator, you will collaborate with the senior management team to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the hotel. You will leverage available opportunities to enhance revenue and oversee the hotel's operations in the absence of the General Manager, while also monitoring guest feedback and taking appropriate action.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in a large hotel or event venue, with a focus on food, beverage, and conference operations. Experience in supporting housekeeping and reception teams is also desirable.

A service-oriented mindset and a passion for maintaining high standards are essential, along with experience in coaching, developing, and training team members.
