About the Role:

As a registered medical professional, you will be expected to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Medacs Healthcare seeks skilled practitioners who are adept at managing emergency scenarios to serve as A&E Medical Practitioners.

In this role, you will work flexible shifts in a bustling Accident and Emergency department, directly engaging with patients presenting with traumatic injuries, acute illnesses, or critical conditions that require immediate attention.

Main Responsibilities:

As an A&E Medical Practitioner, your duties will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments of patients upon arrival
  • Making accurate diagnoses based on a variety of symptoms
  • Prescribing appropriate treatments for urgent medical conditions
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues across various departments
  • Providing both medical and emotional support to patients and their families
  • Administering a range of emergency procedures
  • Coordinating referrals to specialists as necessary
  • Making critical decisions to enhance patient outcomes
  • Taking responsibility for your cases while knowing when to seek additional opinions
  • Reporting at-risk patients to the relevant authorities
  • Promoting best practices in health and wellbeing
  • Representing your hospital professionally
  • Staying updated with the latest medical guidelines

Qualifications Required:

Essential:

  • Must be a registered medical practitioner.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
  • 6 months of recent NHS experience within the last 3 years.
  • Successful completion of an enhanced background check.
