Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to join our team at MacGregor Black. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, establish brand visibility, and promote our products on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with existing grocery retail accounts, acting as the primary point of contact. Understand their unique needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • New Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the grocery retail sector. Prospect and onboard new accounts by presenting our product portfolio, value propositions, and differentiation in the market.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute strategic account plans that align with overall company objectives. Define sales targets, promotional strategies, and collaborative initiatives to enhance market presence and revenue.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and promotional programs to ensure profitable and sustainable partnerships. Manage contract agreements and terms with a keen eye on compliance and consistency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align on product launches, marketing campaigns, and inventory management. Provide insights from the market to influence product roadmap decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, track progress against targets, and generate regular reports for internal stakeholders. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Account Management Experience: 5+ years of experience in account management, preferably in the gifting industry.
  • Strategic Mindset: Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Business Development: Experience in developing accounts and winning new business, with a proven track record of success.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ability to manage a multitude of different priorities, lead projects, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
