Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers. As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our business and helping our employees deliver the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a range of training programs, including new starter inductions, mandatory training, technical and soft skills training
  • Use a variety of training methods to motivate and meet the needs of different learning styles, both face-to-face and virtually
  • Provide one-to-one support, coaching, and assessment of staff to facilitate successful completion of inductions and training requirements
  • Analyse learning reports to identify and advise on training required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Care Home Managers, holding regular training meetings to advise on Learning and Development requirements
  • Ensure all training information is logged correctly on the system and kept up to date

Requirements

  • Excellent customer focus with effective listening skills
  • Comfortable delivering training one-on-one, in a group setting, or virtually, ideally within a healthcare setting
  • Competent in delivering engaging training via Teams
  • Familiar with MS Office and confident using an information system to record learning
  • Aware of regulatory requirements for Learning and Development within the sector
  • Effective, concise communicator who can influence, coach, and have appropriate conversations with delegates and customers
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Pro-active, tenacious, self-driven approach
  • Respectful and compassionate team player with a commitment to giving their personal best
  • Full driving license and access to a car
