Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling as needed.
  • Answer calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate staff and taking messages when necessary.
  • Provide administrative support to doctors and nurses, including filing patient records and processing repeat prescriptions.
  • Address patient enquiries efficiently and courteously, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and security.
  • Ensure the security of the practice premises, including opening and closing the surgery.

Requirements

  • A good standard of GCSEs, particularly in English and Maths, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is essential.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills are required.
  • Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Friendly, patient, and understanding, with the ability to work accurately and methodically.
