About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in educational settings.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, and other stakeholders to develop and implement mental health strategies and interventions.
  • Provide leadership and support to the MHST team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy) or equivalent experience.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC, BPS, BABCP).
  • Substantial experience in delivering low-intensity CBT treatments and working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel efficiently throughout the area and work in a fast-paced environment.
