Aston Martin is seeking a skilled Group Leader to join their team in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for coaching and mentoring direct reports, creating an environment of genuine employee empowerment to achieve 'World Class' standards.

  1. Drive continuous improvement in all areas of operations, including quality, schedule achievement, cost, and people development.
  2. Monitor and maintain quality levels within the areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with company standards and protecting the customer.
  3. Ensure the departmental area of responsibility has the necessary resources to achieve required volume and quality levels.
  4. Motivate and lead the team through coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  5. Achieve required performance in areas of housekeeping, waste management, and compliance to safety and environmental legislation.
  6. Control waste to meet departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of company and natural resources.
  7. Facilitate team measurement of performance, enabling the team to work on problem resolution and customer protection.
  8. Assist and facilitate training to develop team members and minimize the impact of labour shortages.
  9. Ensure data collection is up-to-date and accurate.
  10. Audit visual management in the area of responsibility, implementing corrective action plans as needed.
  11. Manage and resolve Industrial Relations issues at a local level.
  12. Monitor team local budgetary spend on overtime, tooling, and other consumable items.
  13. Develop coaching and mentoring skills to enhance team morale and performance.
  14. Identify team strengths and weaknesses, facilitating training needs and development.
  15. The job holder will require knowledge of Kaizen, Industrial Engineering, Quality and Process Management, Disciplinary procedures, and ISO 14001.
  16. Computer literacy is essential, with flexibility to work shift patterns, overtime, weekends, and travel within the UK to other Aston Martin sites.
