Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our service users, helping them to gain independence and confidence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist service users with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support service users with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Encourage and enable service users to participate in activities and outings, promoting social interaction and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to service users, promoting their physical and mental well-being

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, and challenging behaviors
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality care
