Senior Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Hinckley. As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide day-to-day care and support for young people, guiding them through activities, education, and statutory meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Inspire: Provide day-to-day care and support for young people, guiding them through activities, education, and statutory meetings.
  • Team Leadership: Lead shifts and manage a care team, ensuring a therapeutic approach is maintained.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of young people, maintaining high standards of care.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist in operating within legal parameters as described in the company's policies and procedures.
  • Holistic Development: Support the business, clinical, and social development of the service.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent relevant residential experience.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
  • Experience: Working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours, shift leading, and supervising care staff.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of the problems faced by children and young people, and the effects of abuse and depression.
  • Driver's License: Valid and up-to-date.
