About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Wells & Co Managed. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, manage stock levels, and optimize food costs.
  • Oversee all food production, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards of hygiene and health and safety, and that all team members are trained and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Manage food and labor costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that the kitchen is operating efficiently.
  • Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team to ensure excellent food quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and coach the front-of-house team to ensure they have a good knowledge of menu items and can provide excellent service.
  • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed, including food safety and health and safety protocols.
  • Complete daily and weekly stock checks, and ensure that all invoices are processed and accounted for.
Requirements
  • Minimum 18 months' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy food operation, with a passion for food quality and a proven track record of delivering excellent results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressurized environment, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience of managing a team, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their best.
