Job Opportunity: Sous Chef

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Brunning & Price Limited. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, driving food culture, and ensuring that our customers receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and service.
  • Monitor and control kitchen inventory, including food costs and stock levels.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to in the kitchen.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a senior culinary role in a restaurant, gastro pub, or hotel.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
