Role Overview

As the Customer Account Executive, your main role will be to actively manage a portfolio of approximately 800 clients, each contributing up to £700 weekly to DPD or DPD Local. You will cultivate strong relationships to maintain their loyalty and enhance each account through sales and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients through various communication channels according to a structured contact strategy.
  • Create tailored account plans for each client to meet revenue and contribution targets.
  • Update and maintain client information using SalesForce and other relevant systems.
  • Build multi-level business relationships within client organizations.
  • Identify and pursue additional revenue opportunities within your portfolio and associated companies.
  • Keep an updated pipeline of revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor the profitability and performance of each account to ensure they meet acceptable trading levels.
  • Resolve client issues effectively to ensure long-term retention.
  • Contact clients to uphold planned revenue improvements through timely rate renewals.
  • Execute Annual Price Increases for all accounts in your portfolio.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to transition accounts in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:

You should be dedicated to delivering outstanding service consistently. Your work history should reflect significant experience in Account Management or Customer Relationship Management.

You will possess a natural ability to engage with clients via phone and email, ensuring their expectations are met with excellent service. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt quickly to changes. Proficiency in mathematical skills will be beneficial for pricing and costing tasks.

  • A decisive and effective decision-maker, even under pressure.
  • Someone who enjoys problem-solving and demonstrates resilience, self-motivation, and adaptability.
  • Experienced in sales and upselling to existing clients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications; familiarity with SalesForce is a plus.
  • Able to communicate with clients through phone, online meetings, and email.
