We are looking for a qualified Practice Reviewer / Client Manager (Accountancy) to become a vital part of our expanding team on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:

The primary focus of this position is to deliver expert account reviews and practice evaluations for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while also providing supervisory guidance to our staff and branches.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Practice Reviewer / Client Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough reviews of practice files completed by the team, providing constructive feedback and training on identified review points, including Limited company accounts, sole traders, partnerships, and tax returns (80% of the role).
  • Preparing detailed file notes and highlighting pertinent areas for discussion with the client relationship director.
  • Implementing post-review adjustments to finalize files for internal completion.
  • Assisting in the preparation of accounts for pre-audit and guiding the team for our audit clients.
  • Supporting team members through their tasks, identifying training needs, and ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Overseeing the apprenticeship requirements of the team and ensuring all studies and training are current.
  • Contributing to work planning efforts, ensuring adequate time and resources are allocated for job completion.
  • Serving as a point of contact for select clients.
  • Managing performance and fostering positive relationships with clients and the practice.
  • Ensuring adherence to all financial regulations.
  • Utilizing accountancy software such as CAS, IRIS, Sage, Xero, and Quickbooks.
  • Addressing staff inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing support and technical advice to colleagues and trainees within the team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounts reviewing.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with a minimum of 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in a practice setting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
  • Exceptional reporting capabilities.
  • Confidence in providing recommendations and advice to clients.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of business objectives.
  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  • Experience working with SME clients.
  • A valid UK driving license is required.
