About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Clinical CAMHS Practitioner. As a key member of our Eating Disorder team, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating young people with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment and intervention to children and young people with eating disorders and mental health problems.
  • Consult and support front-line professionals in understanding and supporting children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapies and interventions to children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with eating disorders.

Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification and registration.
  • Eligible to practice under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010.
  • Post-graduate diploma or relevant knowledge, training, and experience in the specialist field.
  • Excellent knowledge of mental health problems and disorders.
  • Excellent knowledge of family dynamics and issues relating to working with families.
  • Understanding of relevant therapeutic approaches.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of national policies.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Additional formal qualification in a recognised therapeutic approach.
  • Specific, targeted, evidence-based interventions Maudsley manualised approach to Anorexia.
  • Formal qualification in a relevant field Child Development, Mental Health, etc.
  • Understanding of service structures and inter-agency working.
  • Knowledge of specific disorders/conditions relevant to CAMHS.
  • Knowledge of working with eating disorders.
