Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement occupational therapy interventions for patients with complex conditions
  • Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to ensure best practice

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum 4 years' postgraduate experience, including 2 years working as a Band 6 with patients with complex needs
  • Experience of working within an Acute Inpatient environment (or similar system)
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Advanced clinical reasoning skills
  • Ability to assess, manage, and treat patients with complex conditions

  • Clinical leadership experience
  • Involvement in sickness/disciplinary/capability management
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Language:

  • Able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to use a keyboard to access and input information from a computer-based system

Working Hours:

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
