Position Summary: We are in search of a dedicated Supplier Quality Lead to oversee supplier evaluation processes within the Food Premix & Sports Nutrition sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee raw material analytical monitoring and supplier evaluation audits in conjunction with the Quality department.
- Conduct Halal and Kosher audits along with other necessary assessments.
- Manage customer change management notifications related to ingredients and suppliers.
- Serve as the primary reporting line for Supplier Quality Technologists and Raw Material Samplers.
- Coordinate and direct various stages of the approval process, which includes documentation, raw material assessments, organizing external testing, risk evaluations, audit recommendations, and final approvals.
- Execute annual risk assessments for raw materials and lead analytical monitoring and supplier evaluation audits with the Quality Department.
- Provide training on topics related to approvals and monitoring as needed.
- Collect, review, and organize documentation from suppliers during the approval process.
- Conduct annual risk assessments on suppliers and third-party contractors.
- Support project initiatives related to raw material legislative changes.
- Oversee the Supplier Quality Technologist, Raw Material Sampler, and any additional support roles.
- Report and escalate issues to the Quality & Food Safety Manager.
- Collaborate with the regulatory team to perform necessary regulatory checks.
Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of quality standards and requirements within the food sector, including FSSC (or other GFSI), HACCP, and VACCP. A minimum of four years of experience in a Quality, Technical, or R&D role within the food industry is essential.
