About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic to join our team as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional. We are seeking a passionate and determined individual to work in a dynamic and lively environment, providing high-level care to detainees and their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods
  • Signposting and conducting referrals; offering support for vulnerabilities and supporting patients to break patterns of re-offending
  • Delivering substance misuse therapies
  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites
  • Acute disease management
  • Promoting good personal healthcare
  • Working with Liaison and Diversion to identify any mental health needs

Requirements
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
  • Acute medical healthcare experience
  • Previous experience in any of the following would be ideal: A&E, walk-in centre, substance misuse, community nursing, police custody, prison, as a Paramedic Practitioner, Registered Nurse or other relevant discipline
