Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

Job Summary:

Global Edge Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability for energy projects, managing permits, mitigating risks, and adhering to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for Project activities, identifying potential environmental impacts and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Manage the permitting process, securing all necessary environmental permits and approvals from relevant authorities. Ensure ongoing compliance with environmental regulations throughout the project.
  • Develop Project Environmental Plans: Develop project environmental plans and deliverables such as Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Waste Management Plan (WMP) Development and Implementation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders on environmental issues related to the project, including regulators, the Client, contractors, and NGOs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Marine Science, or related field with a preference for a master's degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the oil and gas or renewable energy sector.
  • Certifications: ISO 14001:2015 internal/external auditor certification is preferred. Associate member/Member of marine/engineering/environmental professional institute is preferred.
