Why choose Sainsbury's?

By becoming a Property Supply Chain Manager at Sainsbury's, you will immerse yourself in a vibrant and dynamic setting where your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing supplier partnerships within our property supply chain for capital investments. As a prominent player in the UK retail sector, we present a multifaceted delivery landscape that offers distinctive challenges and avenues for professional development. Our commitment to innovation and ongoing enhancement fosters an environment where fresh ideas are welcomed, and you will receive the necessary support to make a significant impact. Join our enthusiastic team that prioritizes excellence, teamwork, and the chance to influence the supply chain of a leading retail enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as Property Supply Chain Manager, your main focus will be to adeptly manage supplier relationships to ensure the effective implementation of the capital investment strategy, while taking into account critical factors such as timing, cost efficiency, and adaptability. You will engage with warehousing, logistics, and various supply chain collaborators, evaluating supplier and contractor performance, and championing continuous enhancements within the equipment supply chain. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, problem resolution, and strategic thinking will be essential for your success. Collaborating closely with property and procurement teams, you will forecast equipment needs for up to three years ahead, guaranteeing their readiness for project execution. Your responsibilities will also include selecting optimal supply chain strategies for diverse work streams, assessing new specifications and suppliers, and refining supply chain pathways. Furthermore, you will supervise the Property Supply Centre (PSC), ensuring effective inventory management, supplier order processes, adherence to lead times, and exploring options for equipment refurbishment and recycling.

Ideal Candidate Profile

As a Property Supply Chain Manager, you bring extensive experience and a proven history of managing supplier relationships, particularly in a fast-paced and intricate delivery environment. Your solid grasp of supply chain principles enables you to facilitate the successful execution of capital investment initiatives. Your proficiency in stakeholder management empowers you to effectively engage and influence both internal and external senior stakeholders. With excellent communication abilities and a strategic outlook, you are equipped to make informed decisions, enhance performance, and continuously refine processes. Your capability to foresee and address complex challenges, along with your commercial insight, significantly contributes to the overall success of the property supply chain and project delivery.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone is welcomed, regardless of their background. Here, you will have the opportunity to explore new avenues, whether as part of a developing team or in different areas across the organization. We take professional development seriously and promise to support your growth. Additionally, we recognize and celebrate the efforts of colleagues who go above and beyond, and we strive to offer flexible working arrangements. Upon joining our team, you will gain access to an impressive array of benefits, including:

- A colleague discount of 10% on shopping at Sainsbury's, Argos, TU, and Habitat, with opportunities for increased discounts throughout the year.
