Your responsibilities
In your role as the Property Supply Chain Manager at Sainsbury's, your main duty will be to proficiently manage property supplier relationships to facilitate the effective execution of the capital investment program, while taking into account elements such as time, cost, and adaptability.
You will oversee relationships with warehousing, logistics, and other supply chain collaborators, evaluate supplier and contractor performance, and drive continuous enhancements in the equipment supply chain.
Strong stakeholder engagement, adept problem-solving abilities, and strategic thinking will be essential for your success in this position.
You will collaborate closely with property and procurement stakeholders to project equipment needs up to three years ahead, ensuring their readiness for project implementation.
Your responsibilities will include selecting the most appropriate supply chain strategy for various work streams, evaluating new specifications and suppliers, and optimizing supply chain pathways.
Additionally, you will manage the Property Supply Centre (PSC), ensuring effective inventory control, order processing with suppliers, adherence to lead times, and exploring opportunities for equipment refurbishment and recycling.
Your profile
As the Property Supply Chain Manager, you are a seasoned professional with a proven history of managing supplier relationships, particularly in a fast-paced and complex delivery context.
Your solid grasp of supply chain principles enables you to ensure the successful implementation of the capital investment program.
Your expertise in stakeholder management allows you to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at senior levels.
Possessing excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset, you are equipped to make informed decisions, enhance performance, and continuously refine processes.
Your capability to foresee and resolve intricate challenges, combined with your commercial insight, contributes to the overall success of the property supply chain and project delivery.
