Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust’s communications team is looking for a creative, innovative and forward thinking communications professional to join their team as a Website and Digital Content Officer.

This post-holder will play an important part of brining the Trust's new communications strategy to life and will be an integral part of a dynamic communications team.

Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust’s communications team is responsible for internal and external communications. The team manages a wide range of communications channels including the Trust’s website, intranet, mobile App and a variety of social media channels. In addition, the team are responsible for wider public affairs and media relation activity. Working closely with internal and external partners, the communications team work to promote the organisation and the services it provides to local communities.

As Web and Digital Content Officer, the post holder will work as part of a busy communications team on the delivery of the Trust’s new website and populate the site during construction and after initial project launch. T hey will help ensure that the Trust’s website is developed to meet the Government ’s Public Sector Regulations Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard and all content meets this standard.

The post entails being the main “gatekeeper” for the website, gathering, editing and creating engaging and accessible content to help showcase the Trust’s services, our people and all publicly required information, ensuring no non-compliant content is uploaded and that content is written in a way which accessible and easy to understand.

The Web and Digital Content Officer will liaise with other teams to obtain and verify required content, assist with new requests for digital and website content and ensure that a robust quality control process is implemented. This role is critical to the delivery of a new Trust website and the implementation of new and engaging content for the public to access about the Trust moving forward.

In addition, the postholder will manage social media channels on a day-to-day basis by creating, uploading and managing a variety of digital content including written, audio, visual and video.
