**Salary: £24,000- £26,000 per annum, depending on experience**
**Reporting to: Communications and Marketing Manager**
**Air Ambulances UK**
Air Ambulances UK (AAUK) is the national charity supporting the lifesaving work of the UK’s air ambulance charities, enabling them to save even more lives every day.
**Purpose of Post**
The Digital Communications Officers role is to help to grow and develop AAUK’s digital presence across a range of channels to ensure a share of the national voice.
**The key objectives are**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the social media presence, with the aim of reaching an increasingly broad audience.
- Administer the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high quality social media content.
- Keep up to date with digital trends to ensure that AAUK maximises its digital reach and engagement to a diverse audience
- Support the Communications and Marketing Manager to review, develop and update the Air Ambulances UK website.
- Support on the development of the Air Ambulances UK members portal.
- Lead on all digital communications, creating, monitoring, and evaluating content across several channels
- Develop and build AAUK’s digital profile, specifically focusing on its national role within the air ambulance sector
- Communicate our brand and tone of voice consistently and creatively to members and external audiences
- Source, create, edit and upload engaging digital content using Content Management Systems
- Sourcing and editing of high-quality images, recording rights and consents and supply images to key stakeholders as necessary
- Gather relevant data/patient stories to support communications, campaigns, and fundraising
- Track and analyse daily/monthly reach and engagement reports, including monthly and project specific analysis evaluations to help identify trends
- Provide cover and represent at meetings as required.
- Contribute to team meetings and wider organisational priorities.

In addition, the role will ensure that we are able to understand and evaluate the impact of our work both internally and externally. The postholder will work collaboratively across the organisation to achieve our strategic aims and must remain up to date with AAUK’s objectives to support the delivery of our ‘Saving More Lives Together’ strategy, our Fundraising Strategy and our Marketing KPIs.
**Essential skills and experience**
Relevant experience in a digital marketing role
Experience of developing and deliver engaging and impactful campaigns across a variety of channels
Experience of managing a busy workload and being able to prioritise tasks accordingly
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Excellent written and communications skills
Demonstrable experience of managing an organisation’s social media activity.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Experience of using website content management systems and optimising content for organic search (specific in-depth knowledge of WordPress an advantage).
**Desirable skills and experience**
- Experience in a charity or membership organisation.
- Experience of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Experience of CRM systems.
