An exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Partnerships & Fundraising Project Officer to join the Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity Team.
As part of its Global Corporate Social Responsibility, the charity has developed and delivered an international philanthropic programme for more than 20 years, working in Tanzania, Ghana and Nigeria, helping to develop healthcare services through teaching and training. Our partnership with Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Tanzania, enables trust volunteers to obtain valuable global health knowledge and experience whilst addressing health inequalities in one of the poorest countries in the world.
The charity is also developing its general NHS Charity fundraising support for our local hospital charity and this role would be a key part in this.
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate with experience of international relations and charity fundraising. We are looking for a committed project worker to join the dynamic charity team and help to develop this important work, both for our local community and internationally.
To provide assistance to the International Partnerships & Fundraising Manager responsible for the development of Northumbria Healthcare’s international and fundraising programmes.
Responsible for the administrative and logístical support for international volunteers travelling overseas as part of agreed project activity.
Responsible for the development of educational programmes for international guests visiting the Trust.
To support international and fundraising projects, to facilitate and monitor the progress of these projects.
The role is part of Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity which is the NHS Charity for Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The charity manages a wide range of activities and projects that make a positive difference to the experience of our patients and staff. This includes the Northumbria Voluntary Service (NVS), hospital environment projects, the healing arts programme and international projects.
The Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity brand was launched in 2012 and over the years has established itself within our communities, gaining traction across the region.
Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare to more than 500,000 people across North Tyneside and Northumberland. The trust’s Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity adds the extras that make a difference to our patients every day.
Bright funds those things that the NHS does not, including better facilities for patients and their families and support for our staff allowing them to provide the best care that you need.
Some examples of how Bright makes a difference;
Enhancing the patient experience through providing additional therapies, services and comforts
Supporting staff health and wellbeing
Developing special areas to step away from the busy clinical environment
Providing state of the art medical equipment
Investing in staff training and research to improve treatments and care
Supporting projects in our community to improve health and wellbeing
