**This is the job**:
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Partnerships in the AA’s Insurance Broker Business to develop and sustain long term Third Party Insurer relationships, which maximise the profitability and value of the relevant product range and ensure continued support for the strategic growth plans of the AA.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Build and develop relationships with our panel of strategic insurance partners to deliver portfolio and value growth in both motor and home insurance
- Developing new relationships with potential partners to broaden Broker footprint and quotability
- Identify and develop new income streams for AA Insurance to support our ambitious growth plans
- Work collaboratively internally and externally to manage developments on behalf of the Panel to support commercial and customer outcomes
- As a key member of the Insurance Broker leadership team, lead and support business developments to improve commercial and customer outcomes
- Research new products offered by insurers or the market place, making recommendations to the business and leading negotiations with appropriate suppliers
- Ensure all Third Parties relationships are clearly defined by appropriate Legal Agreements documentation by negotiation with internal and external legal representation.
- Provide internal technical advice on general insurance matters
- Monitor all product line performance both commercial and regulatory, taking appropriate action where necessary.
- Manage the interface between Third Parties and AA staff to ensure correct operational procedures are applied
- Investigate appropriate escalated customer complaints and ensure the business is not exposed to Professional Indemnity claims and/or regulatory intervention
- Control the development of policy wording and other documentation to conform to compliance, ensuring the business is not exposed to Professional Indemnity claims and/or regulatory intervention
- Keep the business informed of any market developments that may have an impact on the AA, taking appropriate action

**What do I need?**:

- Extensive experience of working in the insurance industry
- Thorough technical knowledge of all personal lines insurance
- Relevant compliance requirements
- Awareness of business finance
- Ability to conduct assertive negotiations to obtain objectives without damage to long term relationships
- Experience of managing multiple third-party relationships
- Leadership skills
